As a teenager I worked in a tanning salon for a year during high school. I was able to tan at no charge so I took full advantage of that and tanned about 6 times a week for about 20 minutes a session to get that nice golden tan that everyone wants. As a result of doing this and never listening to inherent warnings about the dangers of tanning beds I have seen a dermatologist seven times in the last three years to prevent skin cancer. I have a few scars in two different places where the doctor had to remove moles that potentially were skin cancer. All tests results have came back non-treating as of now but there still remains a lot of skin damage. |
